Finding Your Why In Network Marketing
The most important research activity you can do when starting any new venture is finding your why. It does not matter what type of business you start, how much you have to invest in it, or how smart you are; if you do not find your why, you will FAIL. Finding your WHY is needed because it will be the driving force that keeps you from quitting when times get hard.
Finding Your Why Activity
Take out four sheets of paper and write down all the reasons why you got involved with network marketing. What are you expecting to gain from being involved in network marketing?
Finding Your Why Examples
- More time with your family
- Diversify your income
- Payoff debt
- Children’s college fund
- Give more to charity
- Financial Freedom
They don’t all have to BIG whys. Get down to the nitty-gritty of the everyday things that you want as well. Keep writing until you cannot find any more whys to write.
4 Reasons for finding your why and writing them down
1. Gives clarity around what you want
2. Motivates you to get started
3. Helps you stick when facing challenges
4. Measured progress
Once you write down your whys, go back and drill down into each why by asking why. Keeping asking until you get down to the real root of your why. Without doing this you will not find your true why. You need that true why because it will be the spark that drives you to higher success and cause you to be the very best you can be in any business endeavor.
Any great level of success in business will always take work and an ongoing investment of time, energy and finances to maximize how far you go. Your WHY will always push you to “do better”. So find it. Write it down. Keep it in front of you.
It is all the motivation you’ll ever need.
Finding your WHY will cause you to do what it takes to truly succeed, even in the face of the guaranteed obstacles that will pave the road to success. Stop making excuses and sit down and discover why you are doing this business.
Once you discover your reason for doing this business, go back and drill down into your why’s even deeper. Often times people come up with cute sounding whys but miss the real reason that will keep them engaged and in the business when the obstacles in their business arrive.
