Create Your Own Tattoo – 3 Easy Steps

Have you ever wanted to get a tattoo but just did not know where to start? I have and I really recommend taking the time to do your research before you get that first tattoo. A tattoo should be something you get either to be unique or gives meaning to your life in a positive way. Don’t make the mistake of getting a tattoo that you will regret having later in life. In the rest of this article you will be presented with 3 easy tips on how to create your own tattoo.

Step 1: Decide on Style and Location

The hardest part of getting a tattoo is actually coming to terms with the idea. If you have then great! If not, then that’s great as well because you’ll learn how easy is it really is. Deciding on the style and location of tattoo is equally important. To choose a style you’ll want to look through the vast amounts of tattoo image gallery websites until you find the style you like. Next you’d determine where on your body you would want to put this tattoo. For example, you may like the tribal art style and you might want to put it on your lower back. The Location of a tattoo varies depending on the person. Most people decide based on what their occupations will allow them to have.

Step 2: Customize your Tattoo Design

Once you have determined the style and location you will want to start researching the design that fits your criteria. There are several websites out there that allow you to download software to your computer or design a custom tattoo right from your browser.  You are able to upload images, add to an existing image in the gallery or combine them together for a custom look.  Then edit your custom design with your favorite colors.

Step 3: Print Your Custom Tattoo

After you have created your custom tattoo the software will allow you to print it out. You will have the option to print it as a temporary tattoo and have it mailed to you. Second option is to print out the design so you can hand deliver to your tattoo artist. They will turn it into a template for tracing on your skin.  I highly recommend finding a website that lets you turn it into a temporary tattoo so you can test the design and colors on your body to make sure you can live with it for the long term.

Now that you have spent considerable time making a tattoo unique, makes it more meaningful. A tattoo with meaning behind it means you will be happier in the long run and won’t be afraid to show it off. Again, congratulations on your decision to create your own tattoo.
